Heya!  My name is Sarah and this is my blog.  I had previously been on Xanga, but have fallen in love with WordPress.  So here I am! 

A little about me: vagabondess, abolitionist, Jesus-follower, linguist, writer, artist, reader, musician, resident Cincinnati and Dayton tourist. Oh, and I like to eat goat. 🙂

I married my best friend, Matt, in 2013 and am loving married life!  If you want to see my posts on getting married, look for the Topic on the side.

We have two kiddos, G and H. They are a mess and hilarious, and we’re having a blast homeschooling together.

I have begun putting together some worksheets and book lists for free and for sale. I want to put a disclaimer here on my priorities with these.

• Any income received is to help supplement our homeschooling costs (at this point, it’s a low bar – both the costs and the income haha).
• I do use affiliate links with my preference being Bookshop.org. I prefer to support small locally-owned bookshops, but I understand practicality – Amazon is quick, convenient, and cheaper at times. I get that, so I accommodate for that. But I will always try to point you to Bookshop first. (I do have an issue with Bookshop in that there is a bunch of slop on there – AI books or books with AI covers/artwork. That does not interest me at all, and I will not recommend those books.)
• I make my own files. I do not use AI. I may use graphics found online, but I arrange them on the file and put all the text together.
• I also prioritize simplicity for printing purposes. I do not want to print docs with a bunch of fru-fru in the margins and colors and whatnot that does make the file look pretty, but drains my ink tanks. I don’t want to do that for myself and I don’t want it for others.
• I also promise that any book I recommend is one we have read in this house and gets the thumbs up, either by me or the kiddos.
• I can’t stand going through someone’s blog or website, looking for the link to purchase or download something, and having to scrounge the screen back and forth because it’s so dang hard to find. I will do my best to make it very straightforward.
• I can’t stand AI.

Xapa, pronounced /car’-uh/, in Greek means “Joy.” It is my favorite Fruit of the Spirit.
